This is a team struggling to find it's identity.
Team chemistry solidifies from buy-in to team identity. Haven't seen this happen yet.
Talent is there, just not deep and experienced.
This is not a team full of speed merchants, so it's got to focus on station-to-station baseball and situational hitting. S-t-S baseball places a premium on rock solid defense and reliable starting pitching. Can't be giving away outs with poor defense and/or poor situational awareness - obviously, those give way to big innings. Way too many big innings allowed in last couple of weeks.
I think the arms are there in the rotation, but confidence appears to be fleeting. Guys have to believe in their stuff, otherwise those walks get chased home with three-run homers. Way too many of those allowed in last couple of weeks.
Games I've been to I haven't seen the emotional leader emerge.
I'm hoping identity clicks in soon....
